I discovered a packet of leftover almond meal that in the back of my pantry after doing some spring cleaning before Chinese New Year (as you do). Along with exactly three ripe bananas sitting on my counter it felt like the baking gods were trying to tell me something...
It all started with my first excursion in Paris when I was still living in Taipei. I have a few hours to kill near the Gare de Lyon train station before heading back to Switzerland for the remainder of the summer. I wandered into a pharmacy and stumbled upon my first bottle of Caudalie's Divine Oil and mini bottle of Bioderma's micellar water.
Last spring Ryan and I managed to get ourselves a pair of cheap tickets to Paris and spent five days walking and eating our way through the dreamy streets of Paris. Looking to squeeze every ounce of Parisienne life out of trip, we did plenty of planning weeks ahead. Its a bit of a "Sophie's choice" when it comes to picking favorites so I've decided to give myself a break and give a quick guide to a few highlights around Le Marais on the right bank.
Over the holidays I made the 16-hour journey back to Taiwan form New York.
To be honest, I’m a big fan of flying. Regardless of the length of the journey, I still find the feeling of taking off and landing completely thrilling. Call me crazy, but it’s actually something I find myself looking forward to. I’m not saying that the process being packed into a metal tube 40,000ft in the air for an extended period of time is anything particularly enjoyable for me, but I do have a few essentials that I bring with me that help me arrive ready to take on the adventure on the other side.
